Massachusetts State Board of Housing is established.

(July) The board is created by the Massachusetts legislature to take advantage of the National Industrial Recovery Act and authorized to accept federal funds to construct affordable housing for “mechanics, laborers, wage earners and for other citizens of the Commonwealth.”
